You will be given a presentation marriage certificate
on your wedding day. You will need to obtain a stamped registered
copy of your full legal marriage certificate from the registry
office. The following website will provide you the necessary
papers to do this. www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/marriages/applicationForm.htm
and download. You will need three forms of identification and
payment to the BDM of $38.00 to accompany the application
form.
Please note you will require a Standard Marriage Certificate
if you are changing your name on your driver's licence

* All certificates and Birth Cards are distributed through secure
post (except Family History) and incur a $5.00 (inc. GST) postage
and handling fee. Prices listed are inclusive of the postage
and handling fee. Secure post does not ensure next day delivery.
If you are purchasing a certificate for a recent marriage,
or your celebrant has sent your marriage papers to the Registry
in the last 15 days, select the 'non-urgent' processing
option.
Delivery Processing time begins when the Registry
receives the completed application accompanied by the relevant
identification. Processing time ends when the Marriage Certificate
leaves the Registry's premises.· Urgent applications lodged
in person at the Registry Office will be ready for collection
in one hour. · Urgent mail/fax applications will be sent
by secure post the next working day after they are received by
the Registry. These cannot be collected and will incur a postage
and handling fee. · Non-urgent applications lodged in
person at the Registry office before 3.00pm can be collected
the next working day. · Non-urgent mail/fax applications
will be sent by secure post three (3) working days after they
are received by the Registry and will incur a postage and handling
fee.
